Product overview


The APC AP8858NA3 is a second-generation outlet-metered switched rack PDU designed to be installed on IT racks with high density in 208 volts. Its vertical 0U format keeps all Us of servers and switches but provides an outlet metering of energy and remote switching like being able to reboot hung devices, stage power-up, and monitor usage at the outlet level to support chargeback and capacity planning.


It is designed to scale (it also has secure network management, user-defined alarms, and environmental sensors to aid in preventing overloads before a breaker is tripped). Installation is clean and consistent with a locking 30 amp input, strong cord-retention and easily identified outlets that are useful in data centers, laboratories and the edge rooms.
