Technical Specifications
Product Information
Some APC UPS models have RBC7 cartridges that fit into two sealed lead-acid (SLA) batteries that are mounted in a single replacement. It allows a quick replacement of batteries that are being degraded, as it is already assembled, with the cabling, connectors, and fuses attached.
Batteries are 12 V each inside; two can be put in series to provide a nominal voltage of 24 V. When loaded to a capacity of about 18 Ah, the RBC7 will provide ample runtime to support moderate loads such as servers, network switches, or edge equipment, and wait until power is restored or backup generators are positively triggered.
Since it is floating, maintenance-free and sealed, the RBC7 lowers the user overhead: there is no need to check fluid levels or fear of acid leaks. The build is also strong with the materials and connectors being able to suit the safety and performance standards of APC.
Estimated working life (in favorable conditions of use, ambient temperatures, frequent recharge cycles) is approximately 3-5 years. Real battery life will be influenced by the environmental conditions, in particular, temperature, depth of discharge, and frequency of use.
Warranty is typically 2 years (refer to regional conditions), and APC / approved resellers will normally assist with replacement under warranty in the event battery capacity is heavily depleted before the warranty expires.
