Product Overview
APC Smart-UPS SMT2200C is a line interactive, high-capacity UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) that is used to secure business appliances, networking equipment, servers, and other important IT infrastructure. With a clean, pure sine-wave output of 2200 VA / 1920 W, it assists in keeping running during brownouts, surges, and power outages. SMT2200C has remote monitoring functionality and automatic voltage correction, making it suited to the needs of small to medium business settings that do not have the need to go all the way to full 24/7 industrial hardware yet.
Key Features and Benefits
-
Pure Sine-Wave Output - Offers clean, stable power that is safe on sensitive electronic devices, maintains hardware, and eliminates data corruption.
-
High Load Capacity - 2200 VA / 1920 W to provide you with plenty of overload, multiple servers, storage devices, or networking equipment.
-
Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) - Prudently adjusts under- and over-voltage situations, which prolongs the life of the battery and enhances dependability in locations where the mains voltage is not constant.
-
Remote Monitoring/Management - Incorporates both SmartConnect port and SmartSlot that will enable you to monitor and integrate via Ethernet cloud; you have the ability to track your UPS status, battery health, and alerts remotely.
-
Rich Outlet Selection - Includes 10 outlets: 8 x NEMA 5-15R + 2 x NEMA 5-20R to allow flexible distribution of power.
-
Easy-to-use interface- LCD display to read the status, including USB/serial connection to provide graceful shutdowns and setup.
-
Warranty & Protection- Includes equipment protection policies covering connected devices, offers a good warranty (3 years on UPS, 2 years on battery typically), and a warranty on products (3 years).

Product Information
APC Smart-UPS SMT2200C is designed to work in an environment wherein power instability may threaten uptime, data and continuity of operation. It has a line-interactive design, such that in normal operation it uses the mains, but when the mains voltage becomes too high or too low, it changes to battery to keep the output clean. It will be able to fix small deviations without the help of the battery (with the help of the AVR) and save battery wear and system reliability.
On the management side, it has a SmartSlot to add expansion or network cards, and a cloud-monitoring interface (SmartConnect), enabling the remote management: see battery health, get alerts, and control firmware. The LCD panel provides at-a-glance status, load/wattage feedback and interaction to configure. In the case of shutdowns (e.g., a server) they have USB/serial connections and PowerChute software to allow graceful shutdowns of outages that are lengthy.
The unit is strong physically. It weighs more than 50 kg; thus, it needs to be planned how to install it. The outlet arrangement is flexible: the outlets can be connected with standard 15A outlets and higher-capacity outlets of 20A. Inclusion of full load battery time is short-lived (characteristic of UPS).
Units of this size might give around 10 minutes under full load, so it’s best suited either as a bridge to generators or for protecting against short disruptions. Battery replacement is supported via APC’s replaceable battery cartridges to maintain performance over time.
