Product Overview
APC Smart-UPS SRT10KRMXLT is an online 10 kVA/10 kW two-conversion UPS, intended to be used in data centers, server racks, medical labs, and industrial environments to provide high reliability in power protection. It fits into a 6U rackmount footprint, has a pure sine-wave output, is capable of running for long periods under external battery packs, and has a built-in network management to monitor remotely and have proactive maintenance. It is designed to protect critical loads against outages, voltage variations and other power aberrations, and is flexible to meet the demands of mission-critical settings.
Key Features and Benefits
-
True Double-Conversion Online Topology - The power is continuously regenerated and the equipment to which the power is connected is constantly separated from the dirty or unstable power with zero transfer time during power events.
-
High Capacity, Rackmount Design - Rated at 10 kVA / 10 kW output, has the capability to support large server and storage and is 6U high, which is a high rack height, to maximize use of data center space.
-
Scalable Runtime: Scale-in battery packs are included as standard, and can add as many as 10 external battery packs (EBP) of SRT192RMBP2 as required to increase run time.
-
More Flexible - Adds a secure Network Management Card, smart slot to expand, USB, serial, and RJ-45 10/100 Base-T ports, and front-status LCD display and alerts.
-
Multi-Output - Offers hard-wired outlet as well as NEMA outlet (4× L6-20R and 2× L6-30R) that gives the flexibility in terms of connecting the loads.
-
Rack / Tower Convertible - The enclosure is shipped with a rail kit to fit 6U rack enclosures, but can be changed to a tower configuration should the need arise.
-
Powerful Battery System - Non-maintained sealed lead-acid batteries, hot-swappable, require approximately 1.5 hours to recharge. The battery cartridges can be changed.

Product Information
APC Smart-UPS SRT10KRMXLT is intended to be used in an environment where power quality or continuity is an absolute necessity. Its online 2-conversion design will guarantee that regulated, clean power is presented to connected loads regardless of upstream disturbances (voltage sags, spikes, frequency drift, etc.). Since the unit can be operated at full capacity up to 10 kVA / 10 kW, it can be combined with large loads, including multiple servers, high-density storage arrays, or important infrastructure systems.
The unit allows customization by the use of additional battery packs with a maximum of 10 (model SRT192RMBP2). This enables you to scale both the runtime to your SLA or backup power needs. The internal batteries are also sealed lead-acid and are hot swappable, allowing maintenance to be performed without completely shutting down the system (with due precautions).
It is very connectable: it has network cards to manage it via SNMP or the web, as well as USB/serial cables and a Smart-Slot to connect the accessory interface cards. An LCD with a front panel provides real-time status, alarm indications and simplifies diagnostics on-site. The UPS also has several output outlets (NEMA outlets as well as a provision of hard-wired loads), which provide flexibility in the manner of equipment interconnection.
Physically, it is a 6U rackmount (≈ 263 mm height) weighing some 111.6 kg (heavy piece of equipment). It has rails that can be used in rack mounting; the form factor is changeable to tower where necessary. There is a need to plan in terms of sufficient cooling, space and weight support in any deployment.
It can operationally accept input voltages of approximately 160-275 V full load and wider at half load- this will be useful in areas where mains voltage is variable. It is also certified in the global safety and performance (UL 1778, ENERGY STAR, etc.). Normal operation is moderate (around 55 dB) in noise; thus, it should be located in noise-sensitive places.
