
The Cambium Networks SFP-10G-SR is a 10GBASE‑SR SFP+ optical transceiver for multimode fiber. Operating at 850 nm, it delivers 10 Gb/s over MMF up to 300 meters. Its SFI‑compliant electrical interface uses 100‑ohm differential signaling with internal AC coupling and termination to minimize EMI and ensure clean signal integrity.
The transmitter converts 10 Gb/s PECL/CML electrical data to optical and features an internal APC loop for stable output. Control/status pins include TX_Disable (open‑collector; high/open = laser off) and TX_Fault (open‑drain; high indicates a laser fault; host pull‑up 4.7–10 kΩ).
The receiver converts 10 Gb/s optical data back to PECL/CML and provides RX_LOS (open‑drain; high indicates low optical power; host pull‑up 4.7–10 kΩ). Power‑supply filtering is recommended. SFI channels typically support ~200 mm on improved FR4 or ~150 mm on standard FR4 with one connector.
