The Cisco CW9166I-MR Catalyst 9166 Series Wireless Access Point provides wireless access to high-performance network users in the enterprise. This tri-band access point has a high-capacity that can operate on Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) technology to access the 6 GHz spectrum, to reduce congestion and offer higher data rates of up to 7.78 Gbps, and operates in demanding environments.
The CW9166I-MR is also based on the latest MIMO technology that provides the best signal strength and coverage to support the simultaneous connections of multiple users and devices. It has a tri-band design (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz) that intelligently manages traffic to deliver better throughput to data-heavy applications like video conferencing, IoT devices, and cloud workloads.
Designed using the benefits of Cisco reliability and security, the CW9166I-MR features in-built encryption, threat management, and compatibility with Cisco DNA Center, as a centralized network management system. It can be deployed most flexibly; it can be attached either to a ceiling, a wall, or to a rail, which is why it applies to offices, schools, and industries.
This Catalyst access point is designed to be scalable and efficient and is used to assist organizations in modernizing their wireless infrastructure while maintaining compatibility with legacy Wi-Fi devices.
