Cisco GLC-LX-SM-RGD is a 1000BASE-LX/LH Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) transceiver module that can be used to provide a reliable connection in a harsh environment with gigabit Ethernet. This transceiver is designed to work in industrial and extended temperature environments, and it offers uniform performance under challenging environments like factory floors, outdoor installations, and transportation networks.
The module has a wavelength of 1310nm, and the module supports single-mode fibre (SMF) connection over a distance of up to 10 kilometres, which makes it the best module to be used in data transmission over a long distance. With the Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) option, network administrators are able to measure optical parameters such as Temperature, voltage, and optical power in real time so that they can maintain the optimum level of network health and maintenance.
The Cisco GLC-LX-SM-RGD is rugged, compact, and fully compliant with IEEE 802.3z and SFP MSA standards, which provides high-quality connectivity with high reliability and is mission-critical.
