Product overview
The NETGEAR XSM4556-100NAS is an M4500 series high-performance and fully managed switch with AV-over-IP and data load requirements. It supports a non-blocking throughput, ultra-low latency, and headroom required to support uncompressed 4K/8K media, high-density Wi-Fi backhaul, and the current data workflows with forty-eight 10G SFP+ endpoint ports and eight 100G QSFP28 uplink.
It is designed with rock-solid reliability, has hot-swervable power supplies and fans, profile-driven management with advanced multicast tuned to AV transports and many more. Building a spine-leaf fabric in a manufacturing plant or a consolidation of high-bandwidth servers and storage, the M4500 platform can be predictable in terms of its performance, and it is highly controlled enterprise-class.
Key features
-
Total ports: 48 1G/10G each endpoint in SFP+, 8 100G each spine/aggregation in QSFP28.
-
Very low-latency: non-blocking architecture of real-time AV and data.
-
AV-over-IP prepared: improved IGMP tooling and multicast configuration of typical AV workflows.
-
Flexible uplinks: QSFP28 ports will allow breakout to 4x25G in leaf fan-outs.
-
Managed and configured with VLAN, QoS, ACL, routing, and automation friendly CLI/API.
-
Also redundant: hot-swap PSUs and fans to keep it running.
-
Low noise: efficient 1RU design can be installed in racks within production areas.
