The OmniConverter G/M is a versatile and compact managed Ethernet switch designed to extend network distances using fiber optic cabling. This Layer 2 switch intelligently forwards traffic based on MAC addresses. It offers advanced features such as Directed Switch mode for efficient multicast traffic handling, redundant fiber uplinks for critical applications with sub-50ms restoration, and Dual Device mode for isolating data traffic across independent segments. Configuration is flexible via DIP switches or comprehensive management interfaces including Web, Telnet, SSH, and Serial Console for both in-band and out-of-band access. It integrates seamlessly with Omnitron's NetOutlook SNMP software for real-time monitoring and alarm reporting. Available with various fiber connector types (ST, SC, LC) and SFP transceiver support, it accommodates multimode or single-mode fiber with distances up to 140km, including CWDM wavelengths. The compact design allows for wall or DIN-rail mounting and is powered by a 100-240VAC adapter.
