The OmniConverter G/M is a versatile and compact managed Ethernet switch designed to extend network distances using fiber optic cabling. This Layer 2 switch intelligently forwards Ethernet frames based on MAC addresses. It offers a flexible configuration of fiber and copper ports, making it suitable for various network deployments. Advanced features like Directed Switch mode optimize multicast traffic delivery, while models with dual fiber ports provide redundancy and the ability to operate as two independent switches (Dual Device mode). Management can be achieved through both in-band (Web, Telnet, SSH, SNMP) and out-of-band (Serial Console) interfaces, with support for Omnitron's NetOutlook software for monitoring and alarming.
